"The Triptych" by Her Magic Orchestra is the band's debut EP. Released in 2023 "The Triptych" is the band's creation of their own mythology. Across the three tracks, the band explores the ego of creation, and the rebellion of creation against its creator; the metaphor plays into the band's ideology of letting the songs become all they can be with no definite structure or rules applied to them. Opening the EP is "III"; heavy riffs set against an odd time signature, creates an ominous atmosphere for the listener, the song is a contrast to the second song on the EP "Earthly Delinquents". "Earthly Delinquents" speaks to the softer side of the band's ethos. With a more polished song structure and definitive chorus, the song is the band at their most tame, showcasing what they can do before being unleashed. The third song on "The Triptych" combines elements of both songs but free of all constraints, the creation finally free of its own creator. With an expansive song cascading across multiple time signature changes, and rhythmic elements crossing from the Mediterranean to prog rock. "Mortal Dagger" settles into the lyrical storytelling Her Magic Orchestra is ultimately known for. Sounding more like a Dungeons and Dragons playthrough than an actual structured song. The debut EP "The Triptych" encompasses where the band started, and where its willing to go; to the brink of prog rock songwriting formats, carving out a specific place amongst the psychedelic prog rock influences of the past.

Her Magic Orchestra
Where the Krautrock Highway meets the Anatolian desert, you find Her Magic Orchestra. The Southern Californian five-piece crafts their unique blend of psychedelia by blending Eastern Mediterranean rhythms with a heavy Prog Rock mentality. The band was formed by Aislinn Kelly and Paul Soultanakis who wanted combine the rhythmic elements of Greek dance music with the heavy riffs of 70’s rock. They were soon joined by Eddie Hernandez, Chris Alcantar, and Pedro Fonseca. With this lineup, Her Magic Orchestra was born. The band quickly became known for their blistering live show; which combines the prog rock mentality of bands like Aphrodites Child, with the lyrical storytelling of bands like Fiery Furnaces. Her Magic Orchestra is also known for their wild visual presentation, with costumes and animations crafted by singer Aislinn Kelly.
Her Magic Orchestra has played with many legacy acts including Los Dug Dugs, Pearl & The Oysters, Isaiah Mitchel (of Earthless) and Mohama Saz. Her Magic Orchestra has also played many notable local festivals including Trip Out Festival Long Beach, Echo Park Rising Los Angeles, Save The World Festival Long Beach, and Fusion Festival Santa Ana
